Troubleshooting Triage

When Triage can’t carry out a routing decision, it doesn’t pretend - it collapses the item to Keep, prints a one-line chat warning, and tells you what’s wrong. This page covers every warning you’ll see.

When something is “unreachable”

Routing rules and roles name a destination Character. If that Character is gone (removed from the Roster, on the Character Blacklist, or no longer holds the role the rule depends on), Triage prints a one-line chat warning the first time it sees the situation:

"[Triage] Mark of Honor - PvPer unreachable"

The five cases:

All matching destinations are fullEvery rule matching the item points at a destination with zero free slots.

The warnings dedupe per session - the same item won’t spam chat. To clear a warning, fix the underlying cause: assign the role to a Character, restore the banker, or free up bank space. The next scan picks the right answer and the warning stops.

Overflow and “all destinations full”
#

Storage Rules are checked top to bottom. The first matching rule with a free slot wins. If its destination is full, the item spills into the next matching rule down the list. You can use this to chain a primary bank to a backup:

  1. Alchemy → Warband Tab 2
  2. Alchemy → Guild Bank “MyGuild” Tab 3

When Warband Tab 2 is full, alchemy mats route to the Guild Bank automatically.

If every matching rule’s destination is full, the item Keeps and the “All matching destinations are full” warning fires. That message means “your rules are fine, you just need to free up space or add another rule”. Once you free a slot or open a different bank, the next scan picks the right destination automatically.

When deposits fail
#

Bank deposits can silently fail for reasons WoW doesn’t always surface: unique items the bank already holds, unique-equipped restrictions, full tabs the snapshot missed, bind restrictions. EmpireManager tracks every move it queues and reports failures by name in chat after the bulk action finishes:

“Deposited 12 of 14. Failed: Whelpling’s Flask (unique limit), Cloak of Eternal Night (destination full).”

Reasons you’ll see:

ReasonMeaning
destination fullThe assigned tab had no empty slot when the move was attempted.
unique limitYou already have the maximum allowed copies of this item between bags and bank.
bind restrictionThe item isn’t allowed in that bank type (warbound items can’t go into a Guild Bank, for example).
unknownThe bank silently rejected the move - usually a unique-equipped slot, a locked slot, or a destination type with no purchased tabs.

Failed items stay in your bags and show up again on the next scan. Duplicate failures collapse to “item name xN” in the chat line.
